This September you can form part of Spencer Tunick’s Naked Sea Installation and walk away with a unique print of the event! Well, certainly for those of you willing to try something a little different on a visit to the Dead Sea!
The event actually occurs on September 17th, but you’ll have to sign up through the newly setup website to participate. And don’t even think about having a peep, as the site will be closed off to only those willing to strip for the cause.
The Installation is also scheduled a month before votes for the New Seven Wonders competition are counted toward its Top 7 Wonders. A timely reminder of the Dead Sea’s participation and hopefully an event like this will bring about a bit of a buzz and some media attention.
Because bottom line is that the Dead Sea really does need some looking after. OK the tourists are here and lapping the wonders of the Dead Sea up, but the environmental impact on the Dead Sea over the last few years has been startling. In recent reports it’s been suggested that the Dead Sea is receding by a meter every year. That’s quite a huge amount of water disappearing…
So if you feel like stripping off for a good cause – please do!
