So Spencer Tunick finally got his photos in on Saturday morning, after many people believed the event would be canceled (thanks to an enraged religious portion of the population).
But art finally won over, and the event (known as Naked Sea) was completed as scheduled with some 1000 naked Israelis taking part.
We really believe it’s a great idea, as, of course, is main purpose was to bring awareness to the plight of the Dead Sea, which is shrinking by around one meter every single year. And as big fans of the Dead Sea, we are all for bringing awareness about a very dear subject to the greater public.
Here’s a nice clip from two Israeli guys, who seemingly were at the event, at some distance it has to be said (the police apparently kept onlookers away). Watch out for the idiot light aircraft that buzzes the models as they are in the Dead Sea…crazy pilot!
